Sustainability California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona) Will the redesign be sustained now that the grant period is over? The redesigned course is now an expected part of the general psychology schedule and is here to stay. Performance indicators for the redesigned course indicate that students learn equally well under this format as compared to traditionally structured, general psychology courses. Anecdotal information from students in the redesigned course indicates, however, that some of them prefer the structure and/or personal contact with other students in the traditional format to what they perceive as the less personal format of online instruction, while others enthusiastically embrace the redesign format. Consequently, the ideal course offering might be one that gives students a choice between both forms of instruction.
